Barabr
Barabr: Aamdani, Kharcha, crop accounts, and stock for landowners.

A simple book for your farm office.

Barabr is the notebook on your phone. Add a Zameen, open a Khata, write Kharcha and Aamdani, and see the Munafa. You do not need to learn accounts.

Daily work is in the Barabr phone app. This page only explains the book.

How a Khata works

  1. 1

Add a Zameen. Only the name is needed.

  2. 2

Add a Khata with a name and a date.

  3. 3

Answer Mazdoor hai? Yes or No. A worker is optional.

  4. 4

The owner is already there. Add other shareholders if you need them. Their percents add up to 100%.

  5. 5

Write Kharcha and Aamdani whenever they happen. Either one can come first.

  6. 6

The phone shows Munafa. If there is a Mazdoor, it also shows Khanat.

The words

Zameen

Your land.

Khata

The book for one piece of work on that land. One Zameen can have more than one Khata.

Mazdoor

Optional. A Khata can have no Mazdoor, or one Mazdoor.

Kharcha

Money spent on the Zameen or Khata.

Aamdani

Money that came in.

Munafa

Aamdani minus Kharcha.

Khanat

Money already given to the Mazdoor. It appears only when a Mazdoor exists.

Share Holder

The owner, and anyone else who shares the Munafa. Their percent is of the profit left after the Mazdoor. With no Mazdoor, they share the whole Munafa.

Four simple Khatas

  1. Owner only, no Mazdoor. The owner gets all of the Munafa.
  2. Several shareholders, no Mazdoor. They split the whole Munafa.
  3. Mazdoor and one owner. The Mazdoor gets a percent. The owner gets what is left.
  4. Mazdoor and several shareholders. The Mazdoor is counted first. The rest is split by shareholder percents.

When you close a Khata, it stays as a record. You can open it and read the Detail and Report. You cannot change it.
